Fort Worth Texas Personal Injury Lawyer Assisting People injured as a result of SUV Rollovers, Tire Separation Blowouts, Seat Belt Failures, and other:

Auto Defects

Defective automobiles can give rise to serious catastrophic injury and death in car accidents.  A car, truck, motorcycle, or other motor vehicle may be defective in its design, or defective in the way it was manufactured.  Sometimes an auto part has a defect that causes a car crash.

At the Law offices of  J. Kent McAfee, P.C. we have the resources and ability to properly investigate car accidents to establish the cause of an accident, and pinpoint liability, under personal injury law.

A Fort Worth TX Car Accident Attorney Who Understands Auto Defects

Rollover Accidents
During an auto accident, vehicles either stop quickly or are spun in a different direction as a result of hitting something. This often causes vehicles to roll over. Statistically, rollover accidents are the most likely auto-related accidents to result in injury or death. While other vehicles are susceptible, sport utility vehicles (SUVs) experience the highest rate of rollovers. This is typically attributable to a high center of gravity, and, in the case of certain SUVs, a relatively narrow wheelbase.

Airbag Malfunctions
Air bags--another car safety feature--can actually be dangerous to vehicle occupants if there is a defect in their manufacture that causes them to deploy improperly.   When an airbag deploys at the wrong time, or when someone is not properly buckled into his or her seat, the impact it creates can cause serious injury or death.  The dangers of airbags have become better known, as vehicle owners have been warned not to put young children in car seats in the front passenger compartment.

Defective Tires
Some brands of tires have had to be recalled in recent years, as they were shown to be subject to separation in the treads, causing a high incidence of tire blowouts.   Obviously, a tire separation and a blowout, at a high speed on one of our interstates, such as I-20, I-35W, I-35E, or I-30, can have catastrophic consequences.

Fort Worth Lawyer Who Gets Results

If you or a family member has been injured in an auto accident, or if you have lost a loved one in a car crash, you should talk to an experienced personal injury lawyer as soon as possible.   An insurance company adjuster may try to settle a claim for a figure that is inadequate to compensate you for damages.

We can bring a personal injury claim or wrongful death claim that will protect your legal rights and help you get the damages you deserve, including compensation for medical expenses, rehabilitation treatment, lost income or wages, and pain in suffering.   If the lawsuit involves a wrongful death claim, damages can be collected for loss of companionship, loss of family income, funeral and burial expenses, and other damages. Contact us, to arrange an appointment, or to discuss your options.
